The cases of students unrest in the schools have been witnessed where by a good number of secondary schools have been torched down. In many cases, students have been accused of participating in such malicious acts.
The police officers have arrested three students in connection with the fire incident that was witnessed at Maranda High school in Siaya County.
The three boys are alleged to be in connection to a fire incident that gutted down a dormitory at the school on Sunday, December 3.
The fire gutted a dormitory in the school in a suspected arson incident. No student was hurt as the boys were in morning preps when the fire broke out.
Nothing was, however, salvaged from the dormitory.
The three were arrested following investigations by detectives in Siaya county.
The suspects are believed to have been involved in setting ablaze the domitory leading to destruction of students’ and school property estimated at Ksh3 million.
