Parents of an eight year old girl are asking for Mama Lucy Hospital to explain how their daughter died under unclear circumstances. The girl is said to have been brought to the hospital on Wednesday at 5PM by an unknown couple while unconscious.
The mother came home from a college where she is studding computer studies at Nairobi's CBD. She found that the child was not at home which was quite unusual of her as she usually come straight home from school.
Michelle Jennifer is a pupil at a private school in the estate where she commutes on a daily basis. Her mother had accompanied her in the morning to school but she never made it back home in the evening.
A missing child's report was filed at Soweto Police Station by the parents and the following day, they were called by a cop that their child had been located at Mama Lucy Hospital.
Upon reaching the hospital, they found that their daughter had died the previous day. When they inquired about what happened, the hospital said that some people from the school had brought the child in while unconscious.
The hospital later changed the statement saying that the child was brought in while dead. The parents want answers from the school and the hospital.
