Prepare For The Heavy Rains In Next Five Days If You Live In The Following Counties

Kenya Meteorological department has shared the daily forecast for the next five days. This weather forecast will be valid from 22nd April to 26th of April, 2021. Rainfall is expected to continue over several parts of the country. However, isolated storms are likely to occur over the lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands of West Rift Valley, the Central and South Rift Valley. This places include Nairobi County. The Coastal strip, the Southern Lowlands and Northeastern and North Eastern Kenya.

According to the Kenya Meteorological department the following, heavy rains is expected to continue over several parts of the country. However afew North Eastern and North Western Counties are likely to experience strong south eastery winds with speed exceeding 25 knots.

The Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands of West Rift Valley and Central and South Rift Valley:

These places including, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho and Kakamega. Morning hours will be sunny intervals while in the afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected. However in the night hours heavy rains is expected throughout this weather forecast period.

Central, Nairobi and some parts of Eastern region:

These Counties including Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Kiambu, Tharaka Nithi, Laikipia, Nyandarua and Nairobi Counties. Showers are expected over few places tonight and cloudy with rains over few places in the morning. Also showers are over several places in the afternoon.

North Western Lake Turkana Region:

These Counties including West Pokot, Turkana and Sambaru Counties. Showers and thunderstorms are expected over few places tonight. Also rains expected over few places in the morning hours, showers and thunderstorms are likely to occur in the afternoon.
