Second Leg of Motorcycle BRO Flagged Off, to Cover 2500KM

Two weeks after the first leg of Border Roads Organization(BRO), Brigadier IK Jaggi, Chief Engineer, Project Beacon flagged off the second leg of the BRO. According to ANI, the expedition was flagged off at HQ CE(P) to mark its celebration of 75 years of independence.

The first leg flagged off on 14th October was done at National War Memorial in the national capital. The second leg is expected to end on November 4th this year at Siliguri after covering 2500 KM.

The expedition will be expected to meet people in various parts of the country where they will preach peace, harmony, and national integrity. Several outreach programs will be organized during the adventure ride.

The team undertook road safety awareness Swachh Bharat Abhigyan and Fit Bharat Campaign. They as well connected with ex-servicemen and women, the move was lauded by chief engineers praising them for the great initiatives.

He also praised Project Beacon by the BRO saying it has improved connectivity to remote areas of the country, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
