There has been ongoing road upgrade in various sections of the Garissa road. The most current has been ongoing between Landless and Kilimambogo. These section of the road and which falls under Kiambu county has been under pathetic condition with life thretening potholes. These holes has severaltimes led to accidents forcing the respective administrative authorities to act.
Ongoing roadwork has been ongoing from Thursday and today at around the Delmonte entrance opposite Kolping vocational and training center. A serious accident has been witnessed. A Matatu has lost it's way after stepping on a unstable chipping forcing its way to the opposite side where a personal car and a motorbike operator have been hit.
Rescue mission is currently on going with ambulance ferrying those injured. No fatality cases have been recorded and police are already in the accident scene. Those repairing the road are advised to use essential symbols to warn drivers of pe ding danger in overspeeding In the section.
