Fatal Accident at Nithi Leaves Five Dead

Five people have died and four other left with serious injuries after a mini bus was involved in a grisly accident in Nithi blackspot, Tharaka Nithi county. According to the head of county rescue team Alex Mugambi, the vehicle lost control and ran off road leaving the five dead on the spot.

Mugambi has said his rescue team were quick to respond to the situation and managed to help the four who were in critical condition and taken to Tharaka Nithi County hospital. The car is believed to be highly speeding which led to the fatal accident. However, investigations are under way to determine what exactly could have triggered the accident.

The Nithi blackspot has been on rise for accidents after barely two weeks ago when a lorry losed control and landed off-road killing a driver and his conductor.

Drivers have been urged to be careful and observe traffic rules among them maintaining a steady speed which Will help them control vehicles in case of malfunction.
