Passengers have always found themselves in the wrong place during curfew hours as some opt to be taken home fast to avoid being arrested, but speed usually kills.

Last night, two people lost their lives while several others were left severely injured as the fourteen seater matatu they were heading home with rolled several times.

According to reliable reports, the accident happened at Hill Tea area along the busy and very dangerous Nakuru Eldoret highway when the driver was trying to rush and get the passengers to their destination before curfew hours.

Unfortunately, the driver lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road, rolled several times before landing in a ditch. Two people lost their lives on the spot, while others were left injured.

Such accidents have always been avoidable if the driver had to drive safely because police officers ensuring curfew is observed could have understood their situation.

May they rest in peace.
