A Mombasa family is in deep mourning after their kin was allegedly killed by one of her parents in a saddening case of homicide. The incident which is said to have happened a fortnight ago has led to police to launch a manhunt for the culprit after preliminary investigations pointed to her involvement.
According to a Facebook post by Zamzam Mohammed reportedly posted that the victim, Baby Mariam was suffocated to death according to a postmortem report by the Chief government pathologist at the Coast General Hospital, Mombasa. The family which is still reeling in shock believe that the deceased was killed by her step mother who is currently on the run due to envy against her co-wife.
Close family members who are familiar with the case are calling for justice and are said to have given information to the police authorities to help in the quick arrest of the suspect whose whereabouts are still unknown. The baby was buried according to Muslims rights at a Mombasa cemetery.
