According to Elgeyo Marakwet County police boss Patrick Lumumba, the bandits shot four dead and stole several head of cattle.
Elgeiyo Marakwet County Senator Hon Kipchumba Murkomen has broken silence on the banditry attack on Saturday afternoon stating that he is devastated by the sad news of the attack.
Murkomen has blamed the attack on Interior CS Fred Matiang'i and State House, adding that Elgeiyo Marakwet was much secure when the NPR was in place before it was removed and the county left at the mercy of bandits.
"I am devastated by the news that 4 people were killed by bandits today in the afternoon at Tot,Marakwet East,Elgeyo Marakwet County. Security was better when we had NPR. Now @StateHouseKenya & @FredMatiangi removed the NPR and left us at the mercy of bandits. This is unacceptable!" Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said.
