Ruto has taken a step forward and warned the inspector General of police Japhet koome ,of actions taken in surbortaging the money belonging to the the police officers.
While he took a step on addressing the people on the passout parade,at general service unit's Embakasi B campus,he did get to notice about the procurement officers known as culprits of public funds .
"We will not allow money meant for security agencies to be stolen by corrupt brokers in the government," Ruto Exclaimed.
The head of state also Did ensure the improvement of the police welfare and of their salaries.
"To the Inspector General, I have allowed you to use guns to protect your officers from corrupt procurement cartels and brokers in the government," Ruto said.
The inspector General in reply saluted the president and confirmed to follow the order accordingly.
The deputy president appoint the retired chief justice ,David Maraga as the chairperson of the police reform task.
Maraga got sworn in on Monday, January 9,and promised to take good look after the police service.The chief justice gave tasks to be done by the police reform taskforce so as to attain their mandate.
