Turkana is among the dry land counties which are currently experiencing drought. Water shortage has hit the county with it's headquarters Lodwar going without water for the last six days. This situation has forced the people living in Lodwar and it's environs to walk long distances in search of this scarse commodity.
This has come at the time when people are struggling with hardship which has been brought alongside the covid 19 effects on the economy. People will have to put more efforts to look for both the food and water.

Turkana is among those counties which are said to be maginalised and with many people living living in hardship. This is because life in a dry land is never easy since the climatic conditions will not be able to support the the crop production or farming in general.
