Ranks of Kenyan Police Officers and Their Monthly Salary

A secure country is favorable for its nationals and even foreign investors because one's life is important. The Kenyan security system has three levels of police officers, the Kenyan defense forces who guard the Kenyan land, the Kenya airforce who safeguard the air, and the Kenya navy who guard the country against any attacks via water bodies.

The salaries and remuneration commission compensate police officers according to the level of seniority, senior officers earn more money per month while junior officers earn a lesser amount compared to that the seniors.

The inspector general of police is the highest earner in the police force taking 854,241/=, senior assistant inspector general earns a total of 274,890. Assistant inspector general takes home 187,890/= per month, commissioner of police earns 130,590/=, senior superintendent earns 85,590/=, superintendent earns 73,020/= with his assistant earning 70,530/=.

The chief inspector earns 59,220/=, the inspector of police earns 53,820/=, the senior sergeant earns 50,220/=, a sergeant earns 45,540/=, a corporal earns 42,660/=, cadet inspector of police takes home 38,000/= and fresh graduates or in other word constables earn 32,880/=.
