Govt Heeds To Caroline Kangogo's Father's Cry

Government has on Tuesday 27th July finally heeded to the plea of Barnaba Kangongo father to Nakuru based cop Caroline Kangogo. The family of Caroline was forced to postponed Kangogo's burial which was to happen on 24th July, even after they were through with all preparations, including slaughtering cows for the occasion. This is after an autopsy that was scheduled to be done by Government Pathologist Johansen Odour last Friday failed to take place.

The situation left Barnaba Kangogo in tears as he was ready to bury his daughter. He kept on pleading with the government to hurry up with the autopsy so that they can burry their daughter and begin the healing process. And now, government has finally listened to him as the body of Caroline Kangogo was today transferred from the Iten County Referral Hospital to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for the much awaited autopsy.

Mark Kangogo, who is a brother to the deceased, said a burial date will be set after the autopsy.

Barnaba and other family members are present for the autopsy.

Netizens responding to Kangogo's autopsy have elicited mixed reactions, with others questioning why Johansen is the only pathologist in the country. Here are some of their opinions:

Caroline allegedly shot herself dead in a bathroom at her parent's home at Ngawa village near Iten as she was being sought over the killing of Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru on July 5 and Peter Ndwiga Njiru, 32, who was found dead in lodging in Juja, Kiambu county.

Circumstances surrounding her death raised a huge debate especially online as many Kenyans raised questions seeking to know if the officer shot herself dead or was killed by unknown people who may have stage managed the scene where the body was found.

However, her father immediately killed the narrative that Kangogo was murdered revealing that whoever that is pushing that narrative should come forward with evidence.
