The hope of many Kenyan women leaving the country for greener pastures in the Middle East has often ended with sad narrations from the ladies who have been subjected to poor working conditions even as the government promises to intervene and restore its diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia.
Another life has been lost in Saudi barely a month after a lady in her twenties left for the gulf with the hope of improving her life which now takes the death toll to six in a spell of two weeks due to health related complications.
Lucy Wanja arrived in Saudi Arabia on the 9th of September only to die on the 22nd of the same month with former Aljazeera journalist Nelson Muriuki who is privy to happenings in the gulf reporting that she developed complications after receiving her covid-19 jab.
Efforts to save her life proved futile and she sadly succumbed in a similar fashion to another Kenyan Hannah Wambui who had also spent just three weeks in the Middle East before she died.
