A gang of youths reportedly carried out the demolition process. They were accompanied by the GSU officers who were assigned to protect the gang. They forced the residents to flee their houses living all their belongings.
According to one of the residents, those were hired goons. They came with several vehicles but the vehicles number plates had been covered with mud. That was technically done to leave no traces.
This comes barely two weeks after the same gang demolished their houses for the first time. They were forced to go to the court to raise their grievances. The court stated no demolition should be carried out not until the case will is heard. However, they disobeyed the court order.
The conflict is between the Tatu residents in Kisauni constituency and Bandary sacco. The residents have advised the Sacco to obey the court order and wait for the case to be heard.
The families have also claimed that the youths stole some of their valuable households including their chicken. They have asked the police to carry out investigation to arrest those hired goons who came to interrupt their peace.
