Residents of a village in Aldai, Nandi county have this afternoon been shocked after burial ceremony of an elderly man was halted. According to attendees the final ritual of a man aged 96 was brought to a standstill after what is described as land rows. The land on which the deceased was set to be his final resting place is under scramble by a different person. 
According to close family member of the late, a lawyer appeared in the midst of the event with a court order indicating land ownership details. He added that the name of the late old man was no where in the court order forcing the ceremony to be stopped. The body was ferried back to the morgue awaiting further consultations my the family members and friends. However, neighbors were shocked and saddened by the turn of events claiming that the old man has resided in the farm for many years.
