Driver died on the spot as Demio car rammed at the rear of the trailer at Mombasa Road, Machakos County.
This is according to the Facebook post by Sikika Road Safety on Sunday afternoon.
"The Demio rammed at the rear of a trailer at Mombasa road Machakos county ,the driver has died on the spot," the Facebook post read out.
The Machakos County OCPD said the Sunday afternoon accident occurred due to poor visibility.
He said the stationary trailer was not visible as the Demio car rammed into it leaving the driver dead at the scene due to high speed and the crash intensity.
“Had the police officers been at the scene where the trailer was parked, the driver of the Demio would have seen the danger ahead and avoided the accident," he said.
The accident comes barely a week after a similar accident claimed three lives on the spot.
The body of the deceased was transferred to the hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
The wreckage of the vehicle were towed to the police station pending inspection.
