"Very Painful" Details Of The Last Phone Call Of Police Officer Killed At Valley Road Revealed

A traffic police officer was killed by a speeding vehicle along Valley Road on the evening of Friday, December 3 and a former Standard journalist has detailed the last phone call with the officer.

Geoffrey Mosoku who worked for the media house before he was suspended in 2019 has revealed that he learned about the death of his ally through a phone call when he tried to reach the officer to inquire about a traffic snarl-up since he was aware he was the one controlling traffic that day.

Little did he know that he had been knocked down by a bus with the journalist expressing his shock at the unfortunate ordeal and penned an emotional tribute to the officer who happened to be his close friend.

"The lifeless body of my friend Kilimani based traffic cop Sergeant Mustapha Lolo at Valley Road after he was hit by a matatu that lost control near CITAM church. Someone inquired about the huge traffic along Valley Road and my first instinct was to call him; little did I know he was gone. Just like that. Mustapha go well. I can't believe it, man you are gone!" he stated.

The accident left five people nursing serious injuries while the body of the officer who had been assigned to man the junction of Valley Road and Ralph Bunche road was taken to Chiromo city mortuary.
