Njoki Muchemi's Kin, Woman Shot Dead Together With Her Two Girls, Yet To Agree On Burial Site

Njoki Muchemi’s kin, woman who was shot dead together with her two girls in Louisville, Kentucky by her spouse, is yet to agree on burial site.

The distressed family are yet to agree on whether the trio will be buried in the US or Kirinyaga, Kenya

Njoki (49) and her young girls, Andrianna (17) and Brianna (11), were murdered by her husband Gary Stanton (60) on Saturday morning, who later turned the killer gun on himself.

Her family in Kirinyaga is still reeling from shock, even as they hold discussions over whether to lay the nurse and her daughters to rest in Kenya or the US since they held dual citizenship.

"We are yet to decide on the burial site because they live in American but are Kenyan citizens," said Mr Moses Muchemi, Njoki’s bother.

The Kirinyaga kin mourned their daughter's spouse, Mr Stanton, a good man but were shocked with sad turn of events.

Months prior the fatal shooting, Njoki and her spouse flew to Kirinyaga in October to give her father, Mr Geoffrey Migwi, befitting send-off.

Geoffrey passed on after a short illness at Kiamaina village.

Mr Migwi died peacefully in Washington, US and Mr Stanton played a key role in ferrying his body to Kirinyaga for burial.

After her father’s burial, Mr Stanton flew to the US while Njoki stayed in Kenya for few weeks.
