Turkana County residents woke up to a shock after a bridge that connects Lodwar to Lokichar capsized in the middle of the night following a heavy downpour.
According to reports privy to the account, the city of treasure (oil) experienced heavy downpour on Sunday 4th of October which lead to the account.
As per the photos shared by Turkana County News Online on Facebook, motorists are left with no option but drive through a muddy route forcing others to push their vehicles through the muddy route. Below are few of the photos;
The Turkana bridge account comes after a series of similar cases across the Nation whereby different parts of Kenya have been experiencing heavy downpour in the last few days which has resulted into distruction of properties including crops aswell as exposing Kenyans to dangers associated with heavy rainfall.
However, it's also a challenge to the respective County Governments as it makes them figure out how they'll tackle such accounts in future.
