The rate at which people are dying in this country is alarming. Generally, if this trend is not look into, then soon, death rate is going to exceed the birth rate in the country. This is likely to be a big blow to the country especially at this moment we are approaching the 2021 general elections.
In many circumstances, these deaths are as a result of road accidents, murder and suicide cases. Of recent, there has been a lot of murder cases registered across the country.
Last week, a 49-year-old man from Elementaita murdered a 17-year-old form three student over love affairs. The two were reported to have been in love relationships for some periods of time. Another case has been witnessed today, where a man killed his fellow man in Boment county over a debt of KSh 400. The man was later arrested and is currently under the police custody.
These cases are becoming more worse. In Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, a man was reported to have died after he consumed an unknown poisonous herb. What could have led into this has not yet been identified. May his soul rest in peace even as police officers launch investigations over the matter.
