Expect Heavy Rainfall as From Tomorrow In The Following Parts of the Country, Met Department Warns

Kenyans living in the mentioned parts of the country urged to prepare for heavy rainfall that is expected as from tomorrow. Parts of the Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands West of Rift Valley and the Central and South Rift Valley including Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay, Busia and Kakamega counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow onwards. Therefore Kenyans urged to prepare adequately before that time comes.

Sunny intervals expected over few places during the morning hours as from day one of the weather forecast period until day five. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are also expected over several places. A chance of rains over few places in the nights expected.

The North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours and partly cloudy conditions during the afternoon hours over several areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 11 degrees Celsius to 14 degrees Celsius while maximum expected to range from 35-36.

The Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi Counties are expected to receive rains during the morning hours and afternoon showers are expected over several places. Parts of Thika, Kiambu and Murang'a expected to receive rains tonight.

Moreover the North Eastern parts of the country specifically Marsabit, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo counties are expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours and chance of rains during afternoon over few places. Maximum temperatures are likely to range from 35 to 36 degrees Celsius over several places while minimum temperatures are likely to range from 16 to 17 degrees Celsius over few places.

Finally parts of the coast especially Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties are expected to receive rains during the morning hours as well as afternoon hours. Therefore the nights are expected to receive cloudy conditions.
