A 70 year old women identified as Priscila Olumbe at Ruga A village in Homa Bay Sub County met her unexpected death after killed by her grandson under unclear circumstances. He used an ax to kill her grandmother, five goats, there cows and injured the donkey belonging to his old granny.
Authorities were informed who rushed to the scene where they found the old mother bleeding helplessly.
The 24 year old man was later caught by the villagers who in turn hand him to the police where he was taken to Homa Bay police station.
The body if the lifeless mother was taken to Homa Bay mortuary waiting for postmortem.
A similar incident where a police Constable shot dead at least five people in an overnight rampage through the capital, Nairobi, before he shot and killed himself, according to authorities.
The officer killed his wife, shooting her in the neck before starting to shoot innocent members of public.
Angry residents set fire to tires on road in protest against the violence.
