DCI of being involved in drinks spiking ring. Photos released on Friday, May 20, 2022."/>The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released photos of women suspected of running an infamous beverage spiking operation in Nairobi and the surrounding area.
The uncovered ladies are dangerous and have a complex strategy of poisoning drinks, according to detectives, who advise bar owners to raise an alarm if they see them in their establishment.
The women are accused of stupefying patrons at popular drinking establishments, mostly targeting middle-aged to older men with large money accounts.
The DCI stated that the ladies look for the brands of drinks ordered by male guests, how they are dressed, and possibly the kind of automobiles they are driving in order to quickly identify a potential catch.
"The majority of them have previously been arrested, but Muvota has always come to their help by approaching the complainants and refunding their money." The majority of these cases, however, go unreported since the drugged males are mostly married and respectable members of society who would not want to expose the skeletons in their closets,2 according to the DCI.
The DCI added that most of the named women have fled the scene of Muvota's murder and that detectives were chasing his boyfriend, who is suspected of shooting him after the two had a falling out.
The women were warned by detectives, who threatened to pounce on them once their investigations were completed.
"The Pishori empire has been left without a commander with Muvota gone after the bitter clash with his second-in-command, who is currently at large."
"The majority of women have fled the city in droves to their rural homes, where they are keeping an eye on events. They should get acclimated to living in the village since things would be different in the city "DCI issued a warning.
Detectives revealed earlier in the day that they had identified the main suspect in Muvota's shooting. Denis Karani Gachoki is suspected of being the man behind the horrible shooting that was caught on CCTV video, according to investigators.
The DCI also revealed in a report that the desired assailant has a pistol that was seized from a stupefied police officer in Mombasa in November 2020.
"Detectives' efforts to apprehend him have been ineffective because the thug, who is well-heeled, has a sway over rogue cops who tip him off after an operation to apprehend him has been initiated," the DCI claimed.
"This, among other conflicts, is thought to have sparked a vicious feud that culminated in Samuel Mugoh Muvota's daylight murder on Monday, leaving behind seven grieving widows and several children."
