Residents of Kititika village in Murang'a county were left shocked after Mary Mulombe, the wife of a KDF officer who is currently attached at Lamu county commited suicide alleging that she could no longer hand her husband's infidelity.
In the 5 page suicide note that she left behind, Mary wrote down the names of her husband's concubines and also wrote the Mpesa and bank pins, stating that he was free to spend the money on his women.
Prior to the sad incident, Mary bought a heart caked shaped for her two children; five-year-old Francisca Maua and Abigael Mbinye, who was two years old.
She invited her farmhand to share the cake.
Surprisingly, Mary was a staunch christian who was a member of Lwanga Catholic church but on the fateful day, she stayed home.
It is suspected that she might have put pesticide in the cake since there was a strong smell of pesticide when her mother in-law broke into the house.
The three bodies are currently at General Kago funeral home in Thika awaiting autopsy.
