Kenya ranked position 119 among World's happiest countries

Kenya is placed 119th in the 2022 World Happiness Report.

Because life evaluations are a more accurate reflection of how well people are living, the rankings are based on them.

The 2022 report places more emphasis on several commonplace emotions in order to better track how COVID-19 has altered many aspects of living.

Kenya comes in 52nd place overall in the study, behind Mauritius and 21 other African countries, making it the happiest country on the continent.

In the list of the world's happiest countries, Ivory Coast came in at number 88 and Libya at number 86.

Kenya was ranked one slot lower than Nigeria and two ranks lower than Uganda.

The top 50 happiest countries in the world do not include any African countries.

Other countries ranked above Kenya include South Africa, which is ranked 91, Gambia, which is ranked 93, Algeria, which is ranked 96, Liberia, which is ranked 97, Congo, which is ranked 99, Morocco, which is ranked 100, Mozambique, which is ranked 101, Cameroon, which is ranked 102, Senegal, which is ranked 103, Niger, which is ranked 104, Gabon, which is ranked 106.

For the fifth year running, Finland has maintained its position as the country with the happiest people on the planet, followed by Iceland and Denmark.

According to the yearly evaluation, Afghanistan and Lebanon were the two nations with the lowest levels of happiness. While other countries, like Canada, have slipped to their lowest positions ever, some, like France, have reached their highest positions ever.

In order to determine happiness levels, the World Happiness Report takes into consideration a variety of factors, including people's trust in institutions, poverty, corruption, and conflicts.

According to the research, people appear to have behaved more benevolently toward one another during the global Covid-19 outbreak, which has caused a rise in happiness in the years 2020 and 2021.
