According to news hitting the air waves just now, a police officer from the presidential escort team has killed himself under some unclear circumstances.
According to the Star, the officer now identified as Samuel Ngatia who was attached to the deputy president William Ruto killed himself using a pistol.
Reports indicate that he committed the heinous act inside his house at the Juja GSU Camp.
After the incident cops moved to the house and obtained two spent cartridges, a Jericho pistol and a sub machine gun in the same house.
Detectives are yet to establish the reason why the officer committed suicide.
However, sources privy have intimated that the officer divorced his wife two years ago and the two have not been in good terms.
Lately, cases of police officers commiting suicide under some unclear circumstances have been on the rise with questions raised as to what could be happening in the society.
Cops have been urged to seek medical attention when they feel overwhelmed with emotions.
