Powerful Persons In The Country Who Cannot Be Touched Or Put Behind Bars By DCI Or Police Officers

Kenya as a country practices the rule of law. By this, no one is above the law in the country be it the normal citizens or the president. Everyone that breaks the law is subjected to face arrest by the Kenyan police officers

The Kenya Police has special branches like the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) who carry out high profile arrests including the arrests of politicians or dangerous criminals in Kenya.

However, it is good to point out that their is a special category of people around the country who cannot be arrested by the normal police officers or the DCI. These kind of people can only be arrested after an order from the Inspector General of police or following an order from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

If it happens that these people are put behind bars before authority from the IG or the president, the police officer who carried out the arrest risks loosing his or her job permanently

These people who cannot face arrest in Kenya include Administrative Staffs from foreign nations living in the country, Accredited Diplomats who have been deployed in Kenya and lastly, Representatives from the United Nations (UN).

This has been well put in the National Police Service Standing Orders in Chapter 61
