Mr. Bruno Shioso OGW is the new Commandant of the National Police College-Main Campus Kiganjo in Nyeri County.
Mr. Shioso, who was appointed to the position of spokesperson in August 2021, officially assumed his new role during a brief ceremony at the college.
Mr Shioso succeeds Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome, who previously served several pedagogical tours at the police college.
During his tenure as Spokesperson, he achieved numerous accomplishments in the implementation of the NPS Communication Strategy designed to advance the Service's Mission and Vision.
He has also successfully led multi-agency and multi-sectoral programs, such as multi-agency security operations and campaigns on security readiness for the 2022 General Election.
Shioso previously worked for the UN as a Transnational Organized Crime Expert before being appointed as the NPS Spokesperson. He has also held senior positions at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, including as the Principal Assistant to then-Director DCI, Mr. Francis Ndegwa Muhoro, and as the Banking Fraud Investigations Unit (BFIU).
The former police spokesman has a Master of Science in Criminology (Police Leadership and Management) from Leicester University in the United Kingdom.
