The mother of the missing General Service Unit police officer attached to the police headquarters in Ruaraka has for the first time reached out to President Uhuru Kenyatta in a passionate plea to the head of state.
The officer who was identified as Joseph Otieno was in charge of armoury at the camp and it is being reported that he was last traced on July 11, 2021, at around 11 pm which reflects to roughly six months since he went missing.
Jane Otieno the mother of Joseph has now appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to help their family locate the whereabouts of their missing son with the father sharing the same sentiments.
They poked holes at how the government had opted for a lackadaisical approach with the investigations on their missing kin.
"I pray President Uhuru Kenyatta to help me get my son back, dead or alive, Please assist us through the government machinery to trace where our fifth born son is." She stated.
The family further confirmed that they will be conducting burial rites without his body if all efforts to locate Joseph will not be fruitful in the coming days.
