KDF soldiers have offered to contribute one day salary to the draught response kitty. This was announced by deputy president Rigathi Gachagwa after his appeal to well wishers to contribute part of their salaries to the kitty to curb hunger and draught in the country.
Draught and hunger has struck some parts of the country and its getting worse every day since relief food isn't enough.
Deputy president is looking for all ways, so that those affected by hunger get something to sustain them through out the period.
Kenya has received funds from other countries, but seems they are not enough because the experts say that by January 2023 the number of people affected by hunger will have increased, this needs an urgent solution.
Let not only KDF contribute to the draught response kitty, Rigathi has urged those working to contribute a percentage of their salaries to the kitty. Business men and all well wishers in and outside Kenya can just contribute.
