A 45-year-old senior teacher at Kagere Primary School was on Monday morning found dead in a house fire that raized down his house in Othaya.
The deceased; Kiruga Gikonyo was resting alone inside his house during the unfortunate incident.
The deceased family will now spent their night on the cold after they were left homeless.
According to the wife of the deceased identified as, Charity Njeri, she, together with her children had for seven days stayed in her in-laws room to avoid the cruel nature of the deceased, he always developed after he got drunk.
The tearful woman told the press that during the incident, Kiruga went around the home compound screaming and later got into the house then locked himself inside.
Before the tragic incident, the deceased is reported to have vowed to murder all his family members by setting their houses ablaze during the night.
Kiruga's father Charles Gikonyo told the press that the deceased was always drunk and was one day rushed to the hospital for medical treatment but this didn't help him.
Area Senior Assistant Chief David Wangara, stated that they Kiruga was always an alcoholic addict for along period of time, and he always cautioned him in taking part in domestic squabble.
His body was removed to the hospital mortuary.
