The Kenya police service has been on the receiving end of scathing attacks from members of the public following recent developments regarding police involvement in criminal activities.
A few weeks ago, a daring revelation was made by journalist Purity Mwambia on the Involvement of the police in hiring out their guns to criminal gangs who use them to commit crimes.
Earlier today another police officer has landed himself in deep trouble after he was arrested for cultivating suspected Cannabis Sativa plants at his farm in Nyeri.
According to a report by the police, Officer James Maina Karugu has been serving at the Kibish police station. He was arrested at his home where the narcotics were confiscated by his colleagues.
The latest incident will no doubt raise further questions on the position of the police in Kenyan law.
