Two thieves yesterday walked into an Mpesa shop in Bamburi area which is found in Mombasa county and threatened the mpesa agent of dire consequences is she failed to heed to their demands. They ordered the frightened female mpesa agent to give them money or else they kill her.
One of the Thugs pretended like he wanted to withdraw money while the other Thug readied his guns just incase the female mpesa agent decided to play tough at them. They would then play their cards right such that when the lady lifted her head up she was met with the ugly nozzle of the gun and was ordered to let them gain access to where she kept money and other valuables.
The event which happen during midday left the female mpesa agent shaken and frightened to say the least while at the same time she could only watch as those thieves made away with what she had made for that day. They would then threaten her of dire consequences if she dared scream saying that she would be dead before police officers got at the scene of the crime.
Police officers in Bamburi have since launched a manhunt for those thieves who made away with more than 100,000 kenyan shillings from that store not only rendering that lady jobless but also causing immense loss for the owner of that mpesa agent. They have now called upon residents of Bamburi area in Mombasa to help them with any lead that will help them capture those heartless beasts.
