Bungoma County Idris Halkaalno who confirmed said the accident involved a Nissan matatu and a lorry.
According to Idris, the Nissan was ferrying school pupils to a tour in Kisumu County and the lorry was ferrying goods to Wabuye when the accident happened.
Idris added that good samaritans with private cars responded into the accident scene alongside the Kenya Red Cross and assist police in moving the bodies to Bungoma town refferal hospital morgue.
The six were on a tour to Kisumu before breathing their last in the deadly road crash.
Police towed the motorvehicle wreckages to Bungoma police station awaiting inspection.
The latest development comes only two days when a motorbike rider was knocked down by a speeding pick-up along the bus road.
Police have launched investigations into the Saturday morning accident.
