Pauline Wanja Ngara, Assistant General of Prisons, passed on April 3 while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. It was reported that she was unwell for a week before meeting her untimely death.
Sources have disclosed that her burial will take place today. The reason why her send off was delayed is because they were awaiting the husband who was in the United States of America at the time of her death.
The funeral service will be held in Toll, Ruiru followed by the burial ceremony which will be in Gatundu. The mother of two will be missed by many especially in her job where she not only left an impact but also a legacy for the long haul.
The commissioner General of Prisons said this," she gave her entire adult life to serving the Kenya Prisons services and a leading figure in the struggle for the betterment of KPS, her legacy undoubtedly positions her as one of the service's greatest, gallant lady who made KPS immeasurably better.
May God give strength to the family as they finally lay her off.
