The Kenya police service has for decades been seen as just a corrupt organisation that benefits from extorting Kenyans. The service which motto is 'Utumishi Kwa Wote' meaning service to all has often been seen to side with the rich especially in performing their duties.
From extrajudicial killings to physical assault and torture, the police has played a role in the dark history of the country. However the view by Kenyans changed this week after the police did a compassionate work.
Writing on their Twitter account the NPS stated that they had escorted pupils from Ol Moran high school to their respective home after they went on their midterms.
"The students were returning home after a successful first term for this year's academic calendar. The School’s Principal Mr. John Kimathi thanked the troops for their proactiveness and readiness to support the community whenever called upon and urged them not to relent." The tweet read.
This move is set to safeguard and bring back nomalcy in the county.
