Kenyan Popular Comendian Arrested

A popular Kenyan comedian, Eric Omondi has been arrested. He was arrested today morning at Nairobi CBD. central police OCS Johnson Lemuna has confirmed that the comedian had been arrested and is being detained at the station. Eric Omondi had gathered a group of youths before he was arrested. He was arrested during a protest to push the government in consideration that the interests of Kenyan artists had been neglected for many years.

They were pushing for 75% of airplay of the Kenyan media for local content produced within. On 10th November, he had spoken on what he was going to do in the next five days. Here was his statement “Ready to make history!!! 5 Days to go!!! We are storming the parliament on Tuesday at 10am. If you are a Kenyan musician or aspiring musician lets meet in LARGE NUMBERS at PARLIAMENT Building at 10am NEXT TUESDAY. WE MUST FIX IT!!! WE WONT BE ASKING FOR MUCH,” the members of the public have since gone to the police station to demand his release.
