Campaign car belonging to uasin Gishu County gubernatorial aspirant and the current sitting member of Parliament of Soy Sub-county Honarable Caleb Kositany has got fire while on its daily operations within the region seeking for votes. Caleb Kositany is a great diehard to the United Democratic Alliance party and is aspiring for the position of governor using the party.
It is said that the car had set out to various regions of Uasin Gishu on the goal of seeking votes for their candidate before the petrol tank leaked from the generator used to power the public address system causing a sudden explosion. It's assumed that the fuel got fire from the generator's engine which had heated for a long time.
Residents and other road users rushed to put off the fire using water cans and basins. By the time the fire got off it had already consumed the whole car and the public address systems which were contained in the car
