KCSE Candidates Arrested After Escaping During a Toilet Break

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) has entered the third week as many learners are expected to complete their exams by next week. Education ministry through the collaboration with the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has for the first time conducted the national exams in the mid of the year as the KCSE and KCPE exams have coming at the end of the year.

Drama was witnessed in Baringo county after a prisoner KCSE candidate was arrested after he attempted to escape. The incident happened on Friday last week after Vincent Kirui aged 20 years and a prisoner at Bomet prisons had asked for permission to go and relieve himself and later on escaped during Biology practicals exam.

Vincent had been taken to St. Michael secondary school where he was to writing the exams. According to Mr. Musa Omar Bomet Central police commander, the suspect was arrested locked inside a house at Chebirir village after the police officers launched a serious manhunt.
