A bright student who shined in the 2022 KCPE with 415 marks beaten to death by mob after being caught red handed stealing the phone belonging to an mpesa agent.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers in the neighbourhood of Kayole launched an investigation to know what caused the killing of such a young soul through mob.

Anthony Kihara were accused together with his two friends of stealing the mpesa phone from the agent. The two escaped the death through a whisker as Anthony received a mercilessly beating.
Kihara was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital but succumbed to the injuries.
"Joshua Gitau, a resident of Chokaa said that his son Anthony Kihara had been lynched by irate mob and was taken to Mama Lucy Hospital where he succumbed while getting treatment," the police report seen by K24 Digital read in part.
