Kuna Nini? Drama As Residents Rejects A Church Within Their Residential Area

Kenya has more than one religion. Every Kenyan as a right to attend or to be in a religion he or she wants. The number of churches in Kenya are many. Most of them are concentrated in slums area. In Kenya, for anyone to construct a permanent building, he she must obtain a permit from public works and NEMA.

The residents of Lavington in Nairobi County have gone to court to stop the construction of a church in the area. They are saying that the workers were causing noise pollution. Through lawyer Wilfred Mutubwa, they argue that the construction did not follow urban land use policy. "...a lot of noise comes from the site, we are uncomfortable while at home...."

 “The proposed building exceeds the permissible heights which may have an irreversibly impact to out environment..." Through their lawyer, they want this exercise suspended and the environmental impact assessment lifted
