A family in Kwale county s in deep pain and agony following the sad news whereby a mother and her two year old child were drawn away by flood.
According to the reliable source, a 32-year-old woman together with her 2-year-old child have drowned in a river in Mwavumbo, Kinango constituency Kwale county. The woman identified as Umazi Menza Kengo and her child Kachimbizi Mvurya Dalu met their death while trying to cross a swollen river.
The source state that the two were reportedly heading back to their home after a church service. This a bad Sunday to the family for losing two people in the same family.
As confirmed by the Citizen TV, the OCPD Fred Ombaka reported that the effort to retrive the bodies are underway and the board in charge is working tireless to ensure that the mother and her child are found for burial.
In addition, it is reported that the incident took place three days after other children were reported to have been drowned by the same river where it is said that one body is yet to be retrived from the river.
Kenyans have joined the family in demise as they wish all the best for the berieved family and pray that their bodies are found. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
