Man Kills his wife and burns her clothes before reporting himself to people.
People of Mwea North constituency in Kirinyaga county woke up only to find terrifying news in their area.
Margaret Wanjiku who spent the whole day drinking alcohol with her husband James Gitari was found dead in her house with a pool of blood surrounding her. Her clothes were burnt to ashes.
According to the neighbors, they said that after her husband James killed his wife Margaret, he called his brother and informed him that he has killed his wife by hitting her head with a blunt object. But when people and police come to witness James Gitari refuses by saying that it was a stranger who killed his wife.
Margaret was 47 years old and she was a mother of 5 children, her children went to live with their grandmother due to a home conflict between their parents.
This report has been confirmed by Mwea North OCS Daniel Kitavi, the police officers have taken the body of Margaret to the Mwea North Mortuary waiting for a postmortem while the suspect is held in custody waiting to be taken to court.
