A middle-aged man has passed away at Kabarnet town in Baringo County after allegedly lacking food for some unknown number of days.
His body was found lying in the town near Mzee Moja building within the town.
The deceased who has since been identified as 'Chege' was found dead by passersby at around 7:30 PM.
Those who knew him said he made a living by doing menial jobs within the town.
According to Baringo News, the passerby who found the lifeless body of Chege went ahead and informed the matter to police who later visited the scene to collect the body.
According to eyewitnesses who knew him well, the man survives on menial jobs within the town and might have starved to death.
His body has so far been taken to Baringo Referral Hospital Mortuary.
Police have since launched investigations to determine what could have been the exact cause of his death.
