Killer boyfriend Evans Karani confessed to DCI detectives to murdering by mutilating Catherine Nyokabi whose body was found inside a car stuck in mud. Catherine had left home on 14th April to go meet her boyfriend Evans but never got back home.
Evans a 38 year old married man told detectives that after murdering her and was on his way to go dump the body, he got stuck in mud and decided to leave the body in the car and fled into hiding.
It's stated that Evans and Catherine had a bitter fallout as she wanted to leave him but Evans didn't want any of it prompting him to kill her through anger. Catherine is said to have gone missing after stating she was going to buy supper but never came back. On realizing her disappearance, her father and cousin launched a manhunt in finding her whereabouts.
Her body was found mutilated by detectives who transported her body to city mortuary. Evans was arrested and is awaiting arraignment in court. While the late Catherine's body lies in the mortuary awaiting autopsy, police have launched further investigations to clarify what happened.
