The National police service is mourning the sudden death of a senior police officer who passed on this morning after her night duties.
The late Grace Mueni, age 36 was a senior police officer attached at Stapol police station, Garisa sub county in Garisa county. She had served in the service for decades.
According to the sourcce, the late went home after handing over the day shift to corporal Francis Muland. Reports revealed that one of her colleague checked her in her room and found her body lying in bed unconscious.
Further reports indicated there was foam like substance coming from her mouth. Garissa commander and DCI detectives came to the scene. They promised to investigate the cause of her death.
Her body was taken to Garissa county morgue for autopsy. One of the officers said that the late was a social and hardworking person, she didn't show any signs of illness. Her death was a big blow not only to the family but also to the entire fraternity of national police service. May her soul rest in peace.
