Barely a year since quack doctor Mugo Wairimu was given a jail sentence of 11years for a myriad of offences, he has finally broken silence in relation to the sentence.
Wa Wairimu granted an interview with a local daily where he voiced his opinion saying he wished he had committed a more serious crime. The convicted fake doctor further attacked the judiciary saying his crime did not warrant such a long jail term.
"When I come out of the prison I would like to commit a more serious offence like robbery with violence or drug trafficking since it is like I am serving a similar sentence." Wa Wairimu was quoted.
According to Wa Wairimu, the 11 year jail term with an alternative fine of ksh 1.4M was not fair at all. He blamed Nairobi resident magistrate Martha Nanzushi for issuing a sentence that was to be served consecutively.
Mugo gave the interview while at Kamiti maximum prison where he is currently incarcerated. He was arrested after evading arrest for a while before DCI detectives finally tracked him down in the sleepy village of Gachie in Kiambu.
