Prepare For Heavy Rein Between 29th October, 2nd November 2022 If You Live In The Following Areas

The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a five-day weather forecast for October 29th through November 2nd, 2022.

According to the World Meteorological Organization, the meteorological department has been working hard in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to provide the general public with accessible meteorological and climatological information (WMO). The updates aided in the planning and dissemination of scientific knowledge among the general public, resulting in the development of an efficient telecommunications system for the rapid collection and dissemination of meteorological data.

Rainfall is expected in the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central Rift Valley, and the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, according to the most recent forecast. In the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, and the Central and South Rift Valley (Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot counties). During the forecast period, nights will be partly cloudy with a chance of night showers in some areas.

A chance of morning rains with cold and cloudy conditions breaking into sunny intervals is expected over the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi County. (Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi counties) During the forecast period, afternoon showers are also expected in several locations. Night showers are possible in some areas, while cloudy conditions are possible in others.

Showers are possible in the morning, afternoon, and at night over the South Eastern Lowlands and Coastal Strip ( Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, Taita Taveta, Mombasa, Tana River, Lamu and Kwale Counties).
