As Kenyans are traveling to their rural homes for festivities, many accidents are being witnessed on the roads. Many of them are alleged to have been caused by careless driving. That is why Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has made an appeal to matatu owners. That their target should not be the thirst to make profits this season but also to make sure that their customer's lives are safe.
That they should make sure that the drivers get enough rest before making trips especially those going for long distance journey. That the Matatus should also be maintained before going for another trip to make sure that it does not have problems on the road.
That majority of the owners are taking advantage of the rush to Kenyans to travel upcountry for Christmas. That their plan is to make money and to add on that, majority have hiked their prices. That an increase in accidents has been witnessed which is not good for the country.
